
Hundreds of students from across Ireland gathered at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) Thurles campus for Games Fleadh 2026, a national showcase of student game development. Now in its 23rd year, the event featured competitions, networking, and feedback from industry experts. This year’s theme, Alternative Physics, challenged students to design games with twisted rules of reality, resulting in inventive and imaginative projects. The event connected students, lecturers, industry partners, and the public, highlighting creativity, technical skill, and innovation in Irish game development.
