Tampere University is participating in the METECH project to develop precise and reliable methods for measuring emissions in the energy, transport, and off-road machinery sectors. Researchers at the Aerosol Physics Laboratory focus on particle measurement and improving consistency between laboratory and real-world conditions. The project aims to support cleaner technologies, improve air quality, and enable compliance with emission limits while fostering international business opportunities. The three-year, €1.6 million project is coordinated by VTT and includes partners such as the Finnish Meteorological Institute, Wärtsilä Finland Oy, and other Finnish companies.
