José Ferra, a History and Archaeology undergraduate at the University of Évora, delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 European University Kickboxing Championship in Warsaw. Ferra won his round of sixteen match against a Polish opponent but was narrowly eliminated in the quarterfinals by a Turkish competitor. Supported by Master Manuel Pacheco and delegation leader Carolina Caldeira, Ferra represents the university’s commitment to both academic and athletic excellence. The championship included karate, kickboxing, judo, and taekwondo, with 1,480 participants from 400 universities across 32 European countries.
