BUDAPEST – July 17, 2025 – A new science-based educational video series titled “MA TE What Do You Eat” has been launched by the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) with support from the National Research, Development and Innovation Office under the MEC_24 program. The series addresses everyday food-related questions and myths with practical, research-backed insights.
Covering topics like the truth behind superfoods, food supply chains, and the effects of cooking methods on nutrients, the 12-part video series is designed to help consumers make better-informed decisions. Each episode includes a myth-busting segment, research highlights from MATE’s Institute of Food Science and Technology, and a culinary tip or technique.
Interactive elements such as social media Q&As, viewer polls, podcast discussions, workshops, and university competitions aim to create a platform for public engagement and science communication.
The series will be available on multiple platforms, including YouTube (@MATEUniversity) and social media. The project is led by Dr. Tamás Kocsis, a recipient of the NKFIH Scientific Patronage grant.
