
Magyar Agrár- és Élettudományi Egyetem has relaunched its flagship Research Excellence and Priority Research Group programs for 2026, reinforcing its commitment to scientific innovation in agriculture and life sciences. The two-day professional event recognized researchers who successfully completed their two-year projects and welcomed new participants joining the initiatives.The programs now involve 18 institutes and 180 researchers across all campuses, with five new research groups and more than 50 newly participating or reapplying researchers joining this year. Designed to support the full academic career path, the initiatives enhance international visibility while strengthening the university’s research support ecosystem.Workshops and expert-led discussions during the event addressed agrifood chain development, pesticide impact reduction, food safety, communication skills, and leadership conflict management, combining scientific excellence with practical knowledge transfer.The programs continue to play a key role in advancing the institution’s long-term 2030 strategy and promoting sustainable, innovation-driven agricultural development.
