Ole B. Jensen, professor at Aalborg University’s Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology, examines how city design can unintentionally or deliberately limit access for vulnerable groups, including people with physical disabilities, the elderly, and the homeless. Through examples like fast-changing pedestrian lights and benches designed to prevent sleeping, Jensen highlights how urban spaces can create physical and emotional injustice. His book Mobility Injustice by Design explores these issues and calls for more inclusive urban planning.
