
Four research projects have received funding in the SONATA BIS 15 competition organized by the National Science Centre. The program supports scientists who earned their doctoral degrees 5 to 12 years ago and allows them to create independent research teams to conduct fundamental scientific studies for three to five years.In the latest edition of the competition, 481 proposals were submitted requesting more than 1.3 billion PLN in funding. A total of 70 projects were selected, receiving more than 223.7 million PLN. Among them were four projects from Warsaw University of Technology covering fields such as advanced microscopy technology, next generation semiconductor materials, high energy physics experiments, and innovative bioanalytical methods for studying antidepressant drugs.The funding will support the establishment of new research teams and the development of advanced technologies and scientific discoveries in multiple areas of science.
