A student athlete from AGH University of Science and Technology achieved major success at the Polish Academic Karate Championships, winning a gold medal in the women’s individual kata category. The competition took place from February 27 to March 1, 2026 in Białystok.The university’s karate team secured a total of four medals during the tournament. In addition to the gold victory, the team also won bronze medals in the men’s team kata and in the men’s individual kata category for technical universities.Around 130 athletes from 31 universities across Poland participated in the championship. The strong performance highlights the rapid progress of the karate section, which recently resumed its activities at the university.
