
A scholarship-based Diplomatic Training Program of the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy was recently presented to students at Széchenyi István University, attracting strong interest. During the information session, participants learned about career opportunities in diplomacy, the structure of the one-year program, and the application process.The program is designed to prepare young professionals for careers in Hungary’s foreign service through both theoretical and practical training. It includes modules on international law, foreign policy, diplomatic history, protocol, and negotiation techniques. In the second semester, participants gain practical experience through internships at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade or Hungarian diplomatic missions abroad.Students selected for the program receive a monthly scholarship of 300,000 Hungarian forints during the training period. Applicants must hold Hungarian citizenship, have a university degree, demonstrate advanced English proficiency, and possess knowledge of at least one additional foreign language. The multi-stage selection process includes written and oral assessments. Applications are open until May 10.
