
Regional committees of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences held their annual assemblies in late February, marking the 200th anniversary of the academy and its library. The meetings highlighted the unity of the scientific community while addressing future challenges in research and education.One of the gatherings was organized by the Veszprém Regional Committee, where researchers reviewed the committee’s 2025 activities, including programs supporting young scientists and events such as the Pannon Science Days. Leaders also emphasized the importance of scientific responsibility and collaboration in modern research.The assembly concluded with a lecture on sustainability in transport logistics, discussing the environmental impact of packaging materials and the evolving challenges of creating greener solutions.
