
The event focused on research security, cybersecurity resilience in academia, and new European frameworks to protect scientific cooperation and innovation. Experts from European institutions, academia, and public administration discussed risks related to international research collaboration and dual-use technologies.The conference was held within the EU-funded SOCCER project, which supports the development of Security Operations Centers (SOC) in universities and research organizations. During the event, a new initiative—ECC-RIE, aimed at strengthening cybersecurity cooperation among European research institutions—was also launched.
