
Renowned Hungarian child rights expert Szilvia Gyurkó will deliver a public lecture focusing on communication between adults and children. The event will explore how parents, grandparents, teachers, and other adults can encourage children to open up and share their daily experiences more freely.The lecture, titled “What Happened at School Today?”, addresses a common question many adults ask children—often receiving only a short answer such as “nothing.” The talk will examine what may lie behind these brief responses and provide practical strategies for building more meaningful conversations with children.The event will take place on 17 March 2026 at 18:00 at the IH Event Center in the city of Szeged. The lecture is recommended for parents, educators, and anyone who works with children.Members of the University of Szeged community, including staff and students, can purchase discounted tickets with a valid university ID when buying tickets in person.
