AGH University of Science and Technology has strengthened its global standing in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, achieving notable progress across multiple disciplines.The university ranked 338th worldwide in Engineering and Technology, marking an improvement from previous years, while maintaining its position in the 401 to 450 range in Natural Sciences.AGH demonstrated particularly strong performance in specialized fields. Petroleum Engineering ranked within the 51 to 100 range, securing the top position in Poland. Materials Science also performed well, placing in the 201 to 250 range and sharing the top national position.Other disciplines such as Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering ranked within the 251 to 300 bracket, while Mathematics placed between 301 and 350 globally. Additional subjects including Physics, Computer Science, and Chemistry also featured in the rankings, reflecting the university’s broad academic strength.The QS rankings evaluate universities based on academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact, and international collaboration, highlighting AGH’s growing influence in global research and education.
