Szechenyi Istvan University has officially begun the development of the Gyori Automotive Knowledge Center on its campus, marking a major step forward in strengthening vocational education and industry collaboration in the region.The project was ceremonially launched with the placement of a time capsule on April 1 at the future site, symbolizing long-term investment in education and innovation. The initiative is funded with over 4.2 billion forints under a national program aimed at establishing sectoral knowledge centers across the country.The new center will play a key role in integrating academic knowledge, vocational training, and industry expertise. It is expected to significantly enhance training in the automotive sector, which remains a crucial industry in the Győr region.Officials highlighted that the knowledge center will support thousands of students and contribute to developing a highly skilled workforce. The project also reflects a broader national effort to elevate vocational education as a competitive and attractive career path.The time capsule placed at the site includes development plans, educational materials, a model car, and 3D-printed components, symbolizing innovation and the future of mobility.The center is being developed in collaboration with multiple partners, including educational institutions and industry stakeholders, reinforcing strong ties between academia and the labor market.
