TU Wien together with the TU Austria university network has strengthened its research collaboration with Canada through a new agreement under the Globalink Research Internship programme.The partnership promotes student mobility by enabling top students from Austrian technical universities to undertake research internships at Canadian universities. Each year, up to 13 students will participate in international research projects lasting around 12 weeks, gaining hands-on experience and building global academic connections.The initiative highlights the importance of international cooperation in advancing innovation and scientific excellence. It also provides students with additional skills in areas such as teamwork, project management, and entrepreneurship, preparing them for global research careers.The collaboration further strengthens ties between Austria and Canada, fostering knowledge exchange and opening opportunities for future joint research projects, including those linked to Horizon Europe. The programme is supported by the Canadian organisation Mitacs, which connects students with research opportunities worldwide.This agreement marks another step in expanding global research networks while supporting young talent and enhancing international academic collaboration.
