Poland | Students from the Warsaw University of Technology Chemistry Student Research Group Flogiston are actively involved in organizing the 19th edition of the international YoungChem scientific conference and conducting a parallel research project called PolyWIN. The conference brings together young scientists from around the world to share research in chemistry, biotechnology, and chemical engineering, featuring well-known international professors and researchers.Alongside the conference, the team is developing a new polyester material as part of the PolyWIN project, funded by student research grants. The study focuses on synthesizing a novel polymer with potential environmentally friendly applications, possibly as an alternative to PLA. Although early experiments showed inconsistent results, the team is working on improving synthesis stability and material properties using advanced chemical analysis methods.
