Czech Republic | Dozens of academic experts from Chile, the United States, and various European countries gathered for the 11th International Colloquium on Latin American Studies (CIELO). The intensive three-day conference provided a dynamic platform to examine the relationship between art and nature, specifically focusing on how ecology and aesthetics intersect within the Latin American cultural landscape.Rather than just criticizing human-centered trends, participants explored positive ways to artistically represent the connection between the cultural and natural worlds. The event successfully bridged academic theory with artistic practice, featuring a keynote by Argentine scholar Julieta Yelin alongside insights from prominent international authors Daniela Tarazona, Fernanda García Lao, and Priscila Branco on human and non-human forms in modern art.
