
Ireland | The application deadline for the 2026 Coillte Forestry Scholarship has been officially extended to Monday, July 6, 2026. The extension is designed to give secondary school students finishing their Leaving Certificate exams additional time to consider forestry as a viable academic path before the Central Applications Office (CAO) final Change of Mind deadline.Now in its third year, the specialized scholarship program aims to directly combat Ireland’s growing shortage of qualified forestry professionals needed to support state biodiversity restoration, national climate action targets, and sustainable timber supply chains. The initiative supports students entering full-time undergraduate forestry programs at both South East Technological University (SETU) and University College Dublin (UCD).Scholarship Benefits & StructureFinancial Support: €5,000 per academic year, totaling up to €20,000 over the course of a four-year degree.Field Experience: Guaranteed paid summer work placements directly with Coillte.Career Pathways: Direct institutional consideration for future graduate employment opportunities within the organization upon completion of the degree.Eligible SETU Tracks: Applied CAO candidates tracking toward either the BSc in Forestry (SE505) or the BSc (Hons) in Forestry (SE527) starting in September 2026.
