A renowned painter and long-time educator with more than three decades of service at the University of Sopron has been honored with the Sopron Culture Award.
Over 35 years at the institution, he led the visual arts department for a decade and helped shape generations of students at the Benedek Elek Faculty of Education. His approach to visual education focused on creativity, openness, and making art a daily experience rather than just a subject.
Even after retiring from teaching, he remains actively engaged in painting and artistic dialogue, carrying forward the creative spirit and community values that defined his university years.
