A unique exhibition presenting scientifically accurate illustrations of all native Hungarian fish species has opened at the University of Sopron. Created over four and a half years, the collection showcases 178 hand-drawn works that formed the basis of the Hungarian Fish Book published in 2025.
The exhibition highlights the extraordinary precision of the illustrations, capturing fish anatomy down to individual scales and fins. Combining artistic mastery with scientific research, the works offer educational value for professionals, students, and nature enthusiasts alike.
The exhibition is open to visitors until March 5 at the Ligneum Conference Center.
