The University of Lisbon recently took part in the Salão do Brasil, a major higher education fair in Brazil, as part of its internationalization strategy. The initiative aimed to showcase the university’s academic programs to prospective Brazilian students and strengthen academic ties between Brazil and Portugal.The tour began in São Paulo (March 21–22), followed by Rio de Janeiro (Leblon on March 24 and Barra on March 25), Brasília (March 27), Salvador (March 29), Maceió (March 31), and concluded in Recife (April 1). The university presented over 400 courses across its 19 schools, highlighting undergraduate and integrated master’s programs available to international students.Isabel França, Director of the Department of Communication and International Relations, stated that participation in the fair helps increase the University of Lisbon’s visibility, attract talented students, and establish strong academic connections, especially targeting Brazilian students seeking quality education from the start of their academic journey.The Salão do Estudante is the oldest and one of the most influential higher education fairs in Latin America, providing a platform for direct interaction with prospective students to answer questions about applications, admissions, and campus life.
