
Portugal | University of Lisbon has officially presented the RedeMOV Awards 2025, recognizing outstanding master’s and doctoral research focused on urban mobility and future city development.During the award ceremony, two master’s dissertations and one doctoral thesis were honored for their innovation, academic rigor, and strong contributions to public policy and sustainable urban solutions.The winning master’s projects included research by Margarida Vaz from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão, exploring the impact of motorways and urban development on car-based mobility in Portugal. Another award went to Diogo Alexandre Lampreia from the Faculty of Architecture for his work on surface metro design, focusing on intermodality and accessibility in future cities.The doctoral prize was awarded to Kelli Silver from the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning for her research on the relationship between public transport fare policies and urban inequality, with case studies from Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro.The awards were presented במסגרת the “Conversas à sexta” conference series, organized by RedeMOV.
