Syddansk Universitet Business School has officially joined the ranks of the world’s top business schools by earning the prestigious AACSB accreditation. Awarded by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the recognition places the Danish institution among the elite six percent of business schools globally that meet AACSB’s rigorous quality standards.
This international accreditation is a hallmark of excellence in business education and validates the university’s commitment to high academic quality, continuous improvement, and impactful innovation. The process included a comprehensive peer-reviewed evaluation, highlighting SDU’s ability to deliver forward-looking, globally oriented business education across its campuses while maintaining strong regional relevance.
SDU’s Rector, Jens Ringsmose, congratulated the faculty, noting that the accreditation is a strong testament to the university’s dedication to producing world-class knowledge and education that benefits society. Dean Hanne Søndergaard Birkmose added that the milestone reflects the faculty’s collective efforts and will strengthen SDU’s mission to foster intellectual curiosity for societal impact.
AACSB praised SDU for its unique blend of academic excellence, international perspective, and commitment to regional engagement. Stephanie M Bryant, Executive Vice President of AACSB, emphasized that SDU’s inclusion will positively influence future business leaders both locally and globally.
