
During the Kurtág100 festival, the Kurtág Perspectives conference was held on February 21–22, examining the life and works of composer György Kurtág. Faculty members participated both as organizers and presenters.The event featured two days of sessions: the first day with musicologists from Hungary and abroad, and the second with practicing musicians. Presentations included analyses of Kurtág’s Op. 22 song cycle, his artistic connections to József Attila, and interpretations of contemporary compositions. Faculty also led workshops and chaired sessions, contributing to interactive discussions on performance and musicological perspectives.The conference highlighted collaborative research and performance practice in Central European music studies, celebrating Kurtág’s legacy and fostering dialogue between scholars and performers.
