
A constitutional law expert from Poland has been appointed as a member of the Venice Commission, the Council of Europe’s key advisory body on constitutional matters and the rule of law. The appointment was announced by the Polish government as part of the country’s new representatives to the commission. Established in 1990, it plays an important role in strengthening democratic institutions and promoting the rule of law across Europe. Gov.plMembers of the commission are typically leading experts in constitutional or international law and are appointed for fixed terms.
