Students from the Electrical and Sustainable Energy Engineering programmes at South East Technological University (SETU) visited Copenhagen, Denmark, and Lund, Sweden, to explore leading energy and infrastructure projects. Highlights included Denmark’s largest waste-to-energy plant, the HOFOR Energy and Water Showroom, a hyperscale data centre in Lund, and CopenHill, a unique waste-to-energy facility with a ski slope. The trip offered hands-on learning, exposure to sustainable practices, and cultural experiences such as a Copenhagen water taxi tour. Generous sponsorship from Weltec Engineering, FPK Engineering Solutions, and CIBSE helped make the international study trip possible.
