
A cardiologist and former rector of the Medical University of Gdańsk has received the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, one of Poland’s highest state honors.The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the development of medicine and healthcare. The recipient is a specialist in cardiology and internal medicine whose research focuses on heart disease, heart failure, transplantation, and genetic factors linked to cardiovascular conditions.During his academic career, he has also supervised doctoral research and published more than 120 scientific papers in international journals.
