The Brno Charterhouse, founded 650 years ago by Margrave John Henry of the House of Luxembourg, marks a unique intersection of history and modern technology. Today, the complex houses the Faculty of Information Technology at Brno University of Technology, blending medieval architecture with cutting-edge technology. Renovations in the 21st century preserved its heritage while enabling contemporary educational use, making it a rare example of a fully standing medieval charterhouse integrated with modern research and teaching facilities.
