
Pázmány Péter Catholic University has recorded a significant rise in applications for the 2026/2027 academic year, reinforcing its position among Hungary’s most popular universities.Amid a nationwide surge of around 130,000 applicants, the university received over 24,000 applications, with more than 5,200 candidates selecting it as their first choice. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences remained the most popular, with strong demand for programs such as psychology and communication studies.Other faculties, including law and information technology, also reported growing interest, highlighting increasing demand for both traditional and modern academic fields. The results reflect the university’s strong reputation, diverse programs, and rising competitiveness in higher education.
