Budapet, March 31 – An international student in Hungary has reported a case of alleged discrimination at the WestEnd City Center, one of the country’s largest shopping malls located near Nyugati Railway Station. According to the student, the incident occurred inside a C&A store in the mall. After spending a significant amount of time selecting a product with a friend, they proceeded to the cashier expecting to receive a 20% discount displayed on the item. However, at the checkout, the staff allegedly refused to apply the discount without providing a clear explanation. The student described the experience as “disappointing,” highlighting concerns about fairness and treatment of international customers. The situation has raised questions about transparency in promotional offers and whether all customers are treated equally in retail environments. The WestEnd City Center hosts hundreds of international and local brands, including C&A, and is a major shopping destination for both locals and international students.
