Aalborg University has opened nominations for a new external member to join its governing board for the term running from July 2026 to June 2030.The university is inviting proposals for qualified candidates, with submissions open until 3 May 2026. The selected individual will help guide the institution’s strategic direction as part of its highest decision-making body.Candidates are expected to bring a strong combination of expertise in research, higher education, leadership, and financial management. In addition, Aalborg University is particularly seeking someone with industry experience, knowledge of modern technologies including artificial intelligence, and familiarity with the private sector.The board plays a central role in overseeing the university’s long-term strategy, ensuring high-quality research and education, and addressing global societal challenges.
