Budapest| April 4, A student in Budapest has shared his frustration after losing a significant amount of money while attempting to adjust his travel plans with FlixBus.The student had originally planned a trip to Vienna for official work and purchased round-trip tickets in advance. However, after realizing that his destination office would be closed due to a public holiday, he decided to cancel the journey.Upon attempting to cancel, he discovered that the refund offered was only around 4,000 HUF—far less than the roughly 20,000 HUF he initially spent. Disappointed with the low refund amount, he chose instead to reschedule his trip for the following week.Even this alternative came at a cost. The date change required him to pay an additional 9,000 HUF, increasing his total expense significantly.With no better option available, the student accepted the loss but warned others to plan their trips more carefully to avoid unexpected financial setbacks.
