Students of Szechenyi Istvan University gained hands-on experience from professional dancers during a two-day program organized in collaboration with the internationally renowned Gyori Ballet.The event took place at the university’s Dance and Fine Arts School and the Győri Ballet’s rehearsal studios, offering students a unique opportunity to train directly with experienced performers. Participants attended classical ballet and modern dance workshops led by artists from both the Győri Ballet and the Hungarian National Ballet.In addition to practical training, students observed rehearsals of the production Nosferatu and joined a roundtable discussion with industry professionals, including the company’s director, Velekei László. The session provided insights into career paths, challenges, and the realities of professional dance life.Organizers highlighted that the initiative aims to bridge education and professional practice, allowing students to experience real artistic processes and better prepare for future careers. The collaboration also opens pathways for young talents to gradually integrate into professional dance environments.The partnership between the university, the Győri Ballet, and other institutions supports a structured artistic career path for students, from early education to potential stage performances, strengthening Hungary’s cultural and performing arts ecosystem.
