Maynooth University has unveiled its Race Equality Action Plan 2026–2030, setting a framework to advance equality, diversity, and inclusion across the university community. Developed through extensive consultation with staff, students, and wider stakeholders, the plan focuses on embedding anti-racism within culture, policies, and practices.The launch coincided with the period between the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and International Traveller and Roma Day, highlighting the specific histories and challenges faced by racialised communities. Panel discussions, cultural performances, and community engagement emphasised representation and sustained action against racism in higher education.The plan outlines key actions to address racial disparities, improve representation, and ensure all staff and students feel valued and empowered to thrive. Maynooth University calls for active engagement and collective responsibility to implement these commitments across the institution.
