
Finlaand |A professor from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow has been appointed to a newly established advisory team at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education focusing on digital humanities.The expert group has been created to improve the evaluation system of scientific achievements, with a special focus on digitally produced research in the humanities. Its main goal is to redefine and better classify digital research outputs, which are becoming increasingly important in modern academic work.The team will also review how scientific results are documented in digital formats and develop guidelines based on FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). These standards aim to improve the accessibility and long-term usability of research data.The appointed professor, Agata Kwaśnicka-Janowicz, is a linguist and digital humanities specialist. She serves as vice-director of the Jagiellonian Digital Humanities Center and has extensive experience in computational linguistics, language history, and digital research tools.The advisory group brings together experts from several Polish universities and research institutes to ensure that digital humanities are properly represented in future research evaluation policies.
