Czech Republic | The Academic Senate of Palacky University Olomouc has selected Vit Husek as the candidate for dean of the Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology for the 2026–2030 term.Husek, who has served as dean since 2022, was the sole candidate and received unanimous support in the first round of secret voting. His priorities include strengthening teaching and research staffing, introducing a transparent remuneration system, and promoting open communication within the faculty.Before officially assuming the role for a second term, the appointment must be approved by the Vatican’s Dicastery for Culture and Education, after which it will be submitted to the university rector.
