
Slovenia | Alma Mater Europaea has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by organizing activities aimed at improving the quality of life for elderly individuals and people living with dementia.As part of a specially designed program, participants from the Spominčica Centre took part in a structured activity day in Stanežiče. The event, held at a youth golf centre, combined education, physical activity, and social engagement in a therapeutic setting.Under the guidance of academic experts, participants performed tailored physical exercises based on physiotherapy, kinesiology, and nursing science. The activities, including adapted golf exercises, were designed to support balance, coordination, cognitive function, and emotional wellbeing.The following day continued with group walking and outdoor exercise, reinforcing the importance of regular movement and social interaction in maintaining health and dignity among people with dementia.The initiative was also part of the Erasmus+ Sport project GOLFTEGRATION, in which the university participates as an active partner. The project promotes inclusive sports activities such as golf and pitch and putt for people with dementia, aiming to improve both physical abilities and cognitive health.Through this initiative, Alma Mater Europaea continues to promote an inclusive society by combining academic knowledge with practical care, ensuring better wellbeing and support for vulnerable groups.
