
Budapest | The Adventist Theological College took part in a book launch event in Budapest featuring Dr. Kormos Erik’s latest work, The Hidden Message of the Bible, a scholarly monograph that has already gained attention within theological circles.The book, published in December 2025, presents the results of years of academic research and was defended as part of the author’s habilitation process at the Evangelical Lutheran Theological University. The 333 page volume explores new approaches to biblical interpretation through a combination of linguistic and literary analysis.During the event, Rector Tibor Tonhaizer introduced the author’s academic journey and contributions to theology. The gathering was also attended by Tamás Ócsai, president of the Seventh day Adventist Church in Hungary.The book was reviewed by Károly Bácskai, who emphasized its scientific significance and methodological innovation. Professor Imre Tokics highlighted the depth of the research, noting the extensive academic references and the integration of international scholarship.Structured into 16 chapters, the work examines biblical texts using rhetorical and stylistic tools such as allegory, analogy, and allusion. It aims to bridge the gap between literary studies and theology, offering fresh perspectives for biblical research, theological education, and pastoral training.Experts at the event noted that the book opens new avenues for interpreting biblical narratives while respecting established theological traditions. Its interdisciplinary approach may have a broader impact beyond Protestant scholarship.
