Slovenia | A group of students has been gaining valuable international work experience over the past two months during an internship program in A Coruña, Spain. The students are working on real-world technical projects across different companies, with assignments ranging from developing specialized programming code and GIS plugins to collaborating on web development for a local cultural festival. The hosting companies provided a modern, flexible work environment that includes traditional local schedules and remote work options. In addition to building technical skills, the experience offers a rich cultural immersion. Outside of office hours, the students engage in coastal sports, visit historical landmarks, and explore regional cuisine alongside local university peers and international interns. The placement has also served as a base for broader travel, allowing participants to explore various cultural and architectural hubs across Spain and Portugal. These global placements highlight the importance of experiential learning, enabling students to successfully represent their home institution abroad while building foundational professional skills, expanding global networks, and developing lifelong friendships.
