Ireland | A historic student-led campus organization has achieved a major philanthropic milestone by raising a record-breaking €75,000 for charity over the course of the academic year. The unprecedented fundraising total represents the highest single-year sum generated in the club’s century-long history, adding to a ten-year cumulative contribution of nearly half a million euros.The historic campaign was orchestrated by a dedicated 39-member student committee that managed a year-long series of public events, ticketed initiatives, and corporate sponsorships. The accumulated funds were formally presented on campus to three prominent non-profit organizations specializing in healthcare, sports rehabilitation, and crisis support. The largest allocation of €50,000 was granted to a foundation that finances overseas medical travel for families of pediatric cancer patients. An additional €23,000 was awarded to an organization providing specialized medical and financial aid to injured professional jockeys, while the remaining €2,000 was directed to a national center offering support services for survivors of sexual trauma and abuse.
