Slovenia | A practical pedagogy workshop focused on integrating generative AI into higher education instruction introduced university faculty to interactive learning designs. The session moved away from standard automated content generation, focusing instead on keeping students actively engaged through conversational AI scaffolding.Instructors built custom interactive agents using institutional software, focusing on two specific deployment frameworks:Socratic Tutors: Rather than delivering immediate answers, these AI agents are programmed to guide students via hints, targeted questioning, and comprehension checks to stimulate metacognition and independent critical analysis.Roleplay Simulators: These agents emulate specific professional personas—such as patients, clients, or critical colleagues—providing a safe training environment for students to practice real-time argumentation, diagnostic communication, and professional decision-making.All developed models were strictly vetted to ensure they do not perform the students’ actual coursework, respect data privacy laws, and reinforce academic integrity guidelines.
