Finland | A new report reveals that “invisible monitoring” technology is transforming how athlete recovery, workload, and performance development are tracked. Moving away from traditional individual tests, coaches are increasingly using background data gathered passively from training grounds, smart insoles, and bed sensors.By collecting data seamlessly in the athlete’s natural environment, sports professionals can secure consistent information that accurately reflects authentic exercise performance. However, experts note this shift creates a higher analytical workload for coaching staff, who must now sort through complex datasets. The report cautions that a targeted approach is vital, advising organizations to establish specific goals rather than collecting unnecessary data.
