Belgium | Four Journalism students from Vrije Universiteit Brussel claimed victory in Campus Cup 2026, bringing the prestigious trophy to VUB during the programme’s 25th anniversary year.The winning team, consisting of Laura Hamers, Florian Beke, Igor Baisier, and Merle Beckers, impressed throughout the competition with their teamwork, diverse knowledge, and strong sportsmanship. According to programme coordinator Martina Temmerman, the students complemented one another perfectly through their different academic backgrounds and interests.The team emphasized that building trust and understanding among members was just as important as preparing for quiz questions. Beyond the competition, participants highlighted the friendships formed with fellow students from universities across Belgium as one of the most memorable parts of the experience.The victory marks a significant achievement for the Journalism programme and serves as a fitting celebration of its 25th anniversary at VUB.
