
Slovenia | Alma Mater Europaea has officially welcomed a new group of directors and managers into its leadership programme for social care institutions, aimed at strengthening professional leadership in the sector.The programme began with opening remarks from Slovenia’s Minister for a Solidary Future, Simon Maljevac, and Suzi Kvas, Secretary General of the Social Chamber of Slovenia. Both emphasized the importance of responsible, structured, and holistic leadership in managing social care organisations.The first academic session was delivered by Associate Professor Dr Barbara Toplak Perovič, who introduced participants to the legal and safety framework governing social care institutions. This provided foundational knowledge for effective management and compliance in the sector.Designed for directors, senior professionals, and management staff, the programme focuses on improving leadership skills and enhancing the overall quality of social care services. It combines academic input with practical training to prepare participants for real-world administrative and organisational challenges.The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership capacity within social services and ensure high standards of care through continuous professional development.
