Obuda University successfully hosted the IEEE Central European AI Summit 2026, marking a major step forward in regional collaboration and innovation in artificial intelligence.The three-day summit brought together leading experts from academia, industry, and policymaking across Central Europe and beyond. Key discussions focused on critical AI topics, including governance, cybersecurity, large language models, medical technologies, and data management, highlighting the growing importance of AI in economic and societal transformation.A major outcome of the event was the launch of the Central European AI Hub, a strategic initiative designed to strengthen cooperation, align research efforts, and build a coordinated innovation ecosystem across the region. The initiative was supported by multiple international contributors and institutions.The summit also featured the Strix 2025 Award ceremony, recognized as Hungary’s first national artificial intelligence competition, aimed at encouraging emerging talent and innovation in the field.With strong institutional participation and high-level dialogue, the event reinforced Central Europe’s rising role in the global AI landscape and established the summit as a key platform for future collaboration.
