Sweden | Researchers at Stockholm University explored how virtual reality can help cosmologists study the universe more effectively. A pilot project at the Oskar Klein Centre found that researchers using VR headsets could analyze over twice as much cosmic data compared to traditional flat screen methods. The study focused on mapping structures in the cosmic web, including galaxy clusters and cosmic filaments. Scientists believe VR could become an important tool in future cosmology research workflows and data analysis.
