
Students from the Department of Modern Languages at University of Liège have won first prize in an international competition organized by the Goethe Institute. The contest was held to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth and the 100th anniversary of the death of poet Rainer Maria Rilke.The winning project featured a multilingual version of Rilke’s famous poem “The Panther” (Der Panther), translated into German, French, English, Dutch, and Italian. The work was created as part of a master’s course in German literature.Several students contributed to the project and were invited to Brussels for the official award ceremony. The recognition highlights the students’ creativity and collaborative work in literature and language studies at the university.
