Czech Republic | Student engineering team TU Brno Racing has officially unveiled its new all-electric racing single-seater, the **Dragon e6**. The launch marks a major milestone, occurring exactly ten years after the team debuted its sixth-generation internal combustion vehicle at the same venue. The development of the car was a lesson in adaptability. Operating entirely without their main workshop due to ongoing facility renovations, the cross-faculty team of 85 students relocated production to temporary labs and a borrowed shipping container. Despite these logistical hurdles, the group successfully upgraded the vehicle’s four-wheel-drive powertrain, overhauled the cooling systems, and modified the aerodynamics to comply with updated international rules. To maximize efficiency, the software and electronics teams pre-tested their new control algorithms and custom inverters by mounting them inside last year’s chassis while the new body was being fabricated. Backed by an 8 million CZK budget from university grants and industrial partnerships, the team is now preparing to race the Dragon e6 on the international Formula Student circuit this summer in Austria, Croatia, and the Czech Republic.
