
The RUN-EU Innovation Meets Regions 2026 – Circular Society event took place in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, from February, Bringing together European universities, researchers, students, and industry representatives, the conference focused on innovation and the circular economy, fostering knowledge sharing and international cooperation.Representatives from the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) showcased applied research from their 2Ai Applied Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, ID+ Research Institute in Design, Media and Culture, and CICF Research Centre on Accounting and Taxation. ID+ highlighted ongoing projects in ecodesign, circularity, and recycling processes in the textile and footwear sectors, while CICF presented research supporting environmental taxation, waste management, energy efficiency, and sustainable mobility.The event emphasized strategies to extend material life cycles, optimize reuse, and promote regenerative, sustainable business models. IPCA’s participation underscores its commitment to applied research, European collaboration, and advancing solutions for a circular economy.
