The 42nd International Mineral Festival will take place on March 7–8 at Miskolci Egyetem, welcoming thousands of visitors, international exhibitors, and science enthusiasts.The long-running event showcases minerals, gemstones, fossils, and rocks, alongside family-friendly programs, a geological playhouse, 3D cave photography presentations, and free gemstone identification.This year’s “Mineral of the Year” is pyrite, known as “fool’s gold,” while the “Fossil of the Year” is the Nautilus. The festival also includes guided exhibition tours and scientific lectures at the Herman Ottó Múzeum.Visitors can benefit from discounted museum entry and special bus services to the University City during the event.
